School Holiday Workshops
Each school holiday period, Somerset Music runs a variety of programs for a range of age groups designed to get your kids performing with other musicians, increase their knowledge and skills, and above all have fun during the school holidays.
All of our holiday programs are run by tertiary qualified teachers with current Working with Children certification.

Somerset Music "Glee" Club
When - 5th of July 2017, 9:00am
Duration - 3 x 2hr sessions (finishing at 5pm)
Cost - $150 per person
Run by Somerset Music's own vocal tutor, Elle Rauch. This workshop is open to vocalists of all ages and will include sessions that cover warming-up, auditions, singing with groups and other instruments, emotion in performance and other general performance skills. The workshop will be a great opportunity to meet with other vocalists, improve your vocal skills and sing a bunch of great music.

HSC Music Workshop
When - 13th of July 2017, 11:00am
Duration - 2hrs
Cost - $60 per person
Whether you're already studying for Music 1 or 2 in the HSC, or in year 11 and want to get a head start, this HSC music workshop, focusing on the Aural Perception exam will be sure to help you maximise your HSC Music marks.
Co-ordinated by our head teacher, David Eaton who has a proven track record, having helped his students consistently achieve band 5 and band 6 results in their HSC exams. The workshop will cover the following elements of the HSC Music Aural Perception paper:
- Reviewing the concepts & elements
- Listening examples for contrast & unity
- Exam technique - Demystifying the exam questions
- Tone Colour: Pick your instruments out in a crowd and how to do it
- Past papers
- Putting your mind at ease during the exam
